Studio Locomotion set out to reimagine their facility — creating a high-performance training space that embodied their values of precision, care, and excellence.
The project began in late 2021, as the team prepared for a full studio revamp. Working closely with Eleiko, the layout and equipment strategy developed through ongoing collaboration — with a focus on maximising functionality in a strategic footprint while maintaining a premium feel.
The first installation was completed in December 2022. It featured Eleiko Prestera Double Half Racks with SVR insert platforms, XF Bars and Plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, GHDs, and custom storage — everything needed to build a performance-focused environment. In early 2024, the second phase began. This upgrade added stainless steel uprights to existing racks, integrated cables, and introduced a new Prestera multistation with lat pulldown and low row, alongside stall bars and custom bar storage.
At the heart of the studio is a line of eight Prestera Double Half Racks, forming the central structure that divides the space into two zones — one for group training, the other for personal training and open gym use. This allows seamless transitions between formats while maintaining consistent equipment standards. Up to 16 people can train during group sessions, with cable attachments at each rack enabling a wider variety of movements and programming options. Clean, high-quality storage completes the training experience — every bar and accessory in its place.
Creating that atmosphere came with challenges. Space was optimized, and every square metre had to count. Eleiko’s modular Prestera multistation provided the versatility of cable training in a more compact format, unlocking valuable floor space and improving the gym’s flow. Because the Prestera system is modular, Locomotion could expand and upgrade without replacing the original setup — protecting their investment and reducing waste.
The impact on members and coaches has been immediate. The quality and layout of the equipment raise the energy in every session — bringing a sense of intent, focus, and professionalism. For the Locomotion team, that alignment between environment, coaching, and experience is essential.
“Our members can feel the difference,” said Yan. “Eleiko reinforces everything we stand for — discipline, precision, and performance. It’s a name that carries weight, literally and symbolically.”
From initial plans through to delivery, the project was built on collaboration. The Eleiko team supported every stage — adapting orders, solving layout challenges, and ensuring a smooth installation process.
