Eleiko & Hittarps IK
Eleiko and Hittarps announce strategic collaboration — creating a pioneering model for the future of association-driven training facilities.
Eleiko, a global leader in premium strength equipment, is pleased to announce a new long-term strategic partnership with Hittarps IK, a fast-growing sports club in northern Helsingborg. Together, the organisations will develop a new training facility in Laröd designed to become a modern community hub for training and health — and a sustainable revenue source for the club.
The facility will operate under the brand Hittarp Sports Club and will be fully owned by the association long-term. The collaboration aims to establish a pioneering model for how Swedish sports clubs can combine strong community foundations with a commercially viable training facility.
— “We are very happy and proud to be part of realising Hittarps IK’s vision. The club is well-managed, growing, and brings both heart and professionalism to its long-term development. Together we see excellent conditions to create a facility that unites community life, commercial training operations, and societal value in a modern way,” says Erik Blomberg, CEO of Eleiko Group.
A Club with Strong Ambitions
Hittarps IK is a rapidly growing club with approximately 1,350 members and a clear ambition to continue expanding in northern Helsingborg. The new facility will enhance the club’s ability to serve its community, supported by an attractive location, a large catchment area, and strong engagement from its board, coaches, and volunteers.
The new facility is being developed with three core objectives:
-
To create an inviting meeting place for members, families, and local residents.
-
To increase member value through improved access to training and physical activity for all ages.
-
To build a long-term, sustainable revenue stream for the association.
— “We want to take a modern approach to how a sports club can work with training, health, and finances. With Eleiko as our partner, we receive high-quality equipment and gain a strong brand, deep expertise, and a network that helps us think bigger and more long-term. Our ambition is to create something that benefits both our members and the entire surrounding community,” says Linnéa Blixt, Chair of Hittarps IK.
Eleiko as Main Supplier and Strategic Partner
As part of the partnership, Eleiko will serve as the main equipment supplier and strategic collaborator, contributing:
-
Facility design and layout, adapted to the club’s needs, target groups, and future development.
-
Complete strength and functional training equipment, complemented by strategic partners across additional product categories.
-
Installation, service, and support to ensure long-term operational reliability and quality.
-
Training and education for coaches and staff through Eleiko Education.
In addition to supplying equipment, Eleiko is taking on an active role as a strategic partner, supporting operational development, concept creation, and the long-term positioning of the facility.
— “We view this project through a broader lens. Together with Hittarps IK, we aim to explore how Hittarp Sports Club — as an association-owned facility — can serve as a model for training quality, business model, and sustainability. There’s a clear opportunity to develop concepts here that can later be applied to other clubs and facilities,” says Johan Arnerlind, Nordic Sales Director at Eleiko.

Focus on Youth and Lifelong Movement
A key part of the collaboration is to develop training concepts for children and youth. Hittarps IK and Eleiko believe there is a strong potential to take a leading role in youth strength training, grounded in the principles of Physical Literacy — a well-established framework designed to help young people build the motivation, competence, and understanding to stay active throughout life.
The initiative will focus on:
-
Educating the club’s coaches in the Physical Literacy framework.
-
Developing training concepts tailored for children and youth.
-
Creating an environment where strength and movement are fun, safe, and long-lasting.
Eleiko and Hittarps IK also see promising opportunities within health screening — a growing area of interest for both individuals and employers. Together, they are exploring how the club can offer simple, clear, and effective health assessments as a foundation for training advice and follow-up for members and local businesses.
A Sustainable Investment — Local and Long-Term
Sustainability is a core focus for Eleiko, which is ISO 14001 certified and actively working to reduce its climate impact across the entire chain. At the heart of these efforts is the development of long-lasting equipment — a key factor in association-driven environments, where resources must be used wisely over time.
— “We’re passionate about making people stronger so they can perform better — in sports and in life. Hittarps IK’s values of ‘Fun – Fellowship – Quality’ resonate deeply with our own. That’s why it feels especially meaningful to help create a facility that can truly make a difference — for the association and the wider community,” says Erik Blomberg.
Hittarp Sports Club is set to open in April 2026. The project will be followed by a more detailed case study, published on Eleiko’s website and shared through the company’s global channels.
