
2024 IPF World Bench Press Championships Set to Make Powerlifting History in Austin

Austin, Texas—APRIL 25, 2024—An unparalleled display of strength and determination will return to the US for the first time in ten years when the IPF Bench Press World Championships come to Austin from May 21 to June 1, 2024.
Bench Press Worlds, organized by Powerlifting America, the IPF, and in collaboration with Eleiko, is set to be the biggest International Powerlifting Federation sanctioned event ever. 1,300 top athletes from 60+ countries will compete across a range of weight classes to find the strongest athletes in the world at the Bench Press discipline. This record-setting event participation reflects not only the growth in the sport of Powerlifting—a strength sport that revolves around three primary lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift—but also the increasing popularity of incorporating this type of lifting in general strength training programs for gym and fitness enthusiasts around the globe.
As part of the event, Eleiko, a world leader in strength and the official equipment provider will debut the Eleiko Athlete Village—the official training hall for the event—at its HQ in Austin, Texas. Eleiko will provide athletes access to several official IPF Competition Powerlifting setups and best-in-class equipment, including a test scale, ensuring they have everything they need to fine-tune competition preparation. A gathering point for athletes, coaches, and spectators, The Eleiko Athlete Village will be a place for training and preparation as well as relaxing and connecting. In addition to its world-class training facilities and BBQ banquets, Eleiko will offer various recreational activities, vendor spaces and catered food trucks throughout the event.
