Kraft-Werk Schwarzach

Founded in 2012 by Oliver Caruso, Kraft-Werk Schwarzach is guided by the principle that sport strengthens both body and mind, connecting people regardless of origin, education, physical and mental conditions. Eleiko has played a key role in both planning and equipping the training facility.

Since the start, Kraft-Werk Schwarzach is home to for both competitive and grassroots athletes, disabled and non-disabled members and generations of both young and old lifters of all levels. The space features over 2000 square meters of training area for both weightlifting and functional fitness. Members enjoy a modern multifunctional training hall and a large free weight area, featuring over 20 lifting platforms and over 100 Eleiko bars. The well-equipped center attracts many professional weightlifters, children’s and youth training groups and Special-Olympics athletes. In addition to the classic strength training, the association also offers various courses such as indoor cycling, mix body work and jumping.

The founder of Kraft-Werk Schwarzach, Oliver Caruso, is a professional weightlifter, coach, and former Olympian. Oliver has been using Eleiko equipment since the beginning of his weightlifting career – making the company a natural choice for equipping Kraft-Werk Schwarzach.

“In the 90s, I was on international competition stages as a weightlifter. They always told us: You should train with the same equipment you use on the competition platform. So I bought my first Eleiko bar in the early 90s, and it’s still good, even though it’s been used heavily throughout the years,” says Oliver Caruso.

For Oliver, Eleiko’s support and experience was important to the success of Kraft-Werk Schwarzach.

“Eleiko has been there every step of the way as I planned Kraftwerk Schwarzach. It’s been 5 years now and not a single complaint or quality issue – even with the heavy use of our equipment. We have European weightlifting champions and part of the national team who train here every day. For me, this simply speaks to the quality, design, and durability of the equipment from Eleiko,” says Oliver Caruso.
