Eleiko has revolutionised the Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, transforming it into a cutting-edge training hub for the French national track cycling and BMX teams.

Partnering with the French Cycling Federation (FFC), Eleiko aimed to transform the velodrome’s strength training facilities to meet the rigorous demands of its elite athletes. This collaboration underscores the role of premium training solutions in enhancing performance, particularly as the velodrome prepares to host the track and BMX events for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The primary objective was to outfit the velodrome with premium, multifunctional strength training equipment. Eleiko's mission was to elevate the facility, ensuring it supports elite athletes in their rigorous training for national and international competitions. The goal was to create a space that not only meets but exceeds the exacting standards required for Olympic-level preparation, offering state-of-the-art solutions while optimising the available area for maximum efficiency and performance.

Upgrading the existing training space presented significant challenges, particularly in integrating the equipment without compromising space efficiency. The project required the careful incorporation of specialised tools to cater to the unique needs of track cycling and BMX athletes. Ensuring the facility met the high-performance standards of the FFC was essential, necessitating a design that supports a broad range of exercises while maintaining a functional and inviting environment.

Eleiko worked closely with the velodrome’s strength and conditioning coach to provide the equipment solution. Upgrades began with the install of five custom wooden weightlifting platforms, each equipped with training plates, technical plates, and classic squat stands. This setup offers a robust foundation for a variety of lifting routines. Additionally, a selection of bars, including a trap bar and an independent lifting platform, was integrated to support diverse strength exercises.

In a separate area, several half racks with integrated platforms, adjustable benches, and an Atlantis Press machine were introduced to facilitate versatile strength training. To further enhance the training capabilities, the facility was outfitted with training plates and bars, a range of dumbbells, and various essential training tools, ensuring a complete and effective training environment.

This re-invented space stands as a testament to Eleiko's commitment to excellence, setting a new benchmark for athlete preparation as the velodrome gears up for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
