AJ Products is a complete supplier of interior design for offices, schools, warehouses and industry. Their concept and goals are to offer products and interior design solutions that make creating an active and attractive workplace easy for clients. Everything AJ does aims to help its customers – as their motto is – "Feel better at work", and as a market-leading company, they also want to practice what they preach. AJ Products worked with Eleiko to design and develop their wellness area, the hub of their health work, and an attractive benefit for employees.
In 2022, the AJ Group passed 1000 employees and doubled its capacity by expanding its warehouse and office in Halmstad. In this expansion, a 345 m2 wellness facility was also planned. "Eleiko helped us with the design, and then we used HCF, which develops and holds classes. We had an idea that there should be something for everyone. We also wanted excellent quality and guidance on how to build a good gym, which we have received with professional help from Eleiko", says Enock Johansson, CEO of AJ Products.
"The wellness investment we have made at AJ has several meanings. Health and well-being are becoming increasingly important for employers to take into account. And no, it is not the employer's responsibility to provide a wellness facility, but it sends a clear signal, and by creating opportunities for employees, we get a lot in return. Offering wellness can reduce sick leave and increase productivity and performance," says Helena Christensson, HR Manager.
How can we help lower the barrier, remove obstacles and help people improve their habits? This has been an important issue in AJ Products work to develop the company's wellness initiative. "We have employees with physically demanding work and those who have sedentary work, regardless of which it is important to strengthen the body and create the conditions for better physical health," says Helena Christensson, HR Manager.

Five reasons AJ Products chose to invest in a wellness facility
1. Accessibility and convenience
We want to give our employees the opportunity to create a regular training routine. A gym in the workplace makes it easy and convenient for employees to exercise!
2. Strengthen mental health
For us at AJ Products, it is just as important to look at the benefits of exercise in terms of the mental health and increased well-being that comes with regular exercise.
3. Social benefits
Exercising together with colleagues increases cohesion and collaboration. At AJ, we strongly believe in meetings and see benefits in enabling employees to build relationships outside of work in a more relaxed environment.
4. Increased motivation and reduced stress
Training not only contributes to increased motivation and reduced stress, it also dramatically impacts employees' self-esteem.
5. Strengthen physical ability
Employees can work out in the gym or attend teacher-led classes at our wellness facility. We have invested a lot in crossfit, simple circuit training, yoga, and mindfulness. We want to find forms of training that suit all our employees.
It is now a little more than a year since the company's wellness facility was completed, and the response from the employees has been very good. "It is difficult to count this investment in dollars and cents fully, but after this investment, something happened to the energy in the company. The strength lies in the fact that we do it together at the company and that everyone can train together", says Enock Johansson, CEO of AJ Products.
