3000 Square Meter Training Facility Focused on Functional Fitness.

Working with the customers, Eleiko was able to leverage our experience and expertise from a range of sports to create a gym of the future which inspires all types of athletes to embrace a variety of training disciplines.

Västerås’ World Class Arena was opened in the fall of 2015, and facility manager Veronica Westlund gave Eleiko’s Henrik Dagård a mandate to fully equip and enhance the center. “We were fortunate to have a really spacious area to work with when designing the gym,” explains Henrik Dagård, the client’s sales manager at Eleiko. “The challenge was to provide the customer with a unique gym considering both design and function. We were really able to let loose our creativity and, applying our experience from a range of sports, create a gym of the future which inspires all types of athletes to embrace a variety of training disciplines.”

The team at Eleiko created impressive 3D layouts in every zone. Long before the gym had been completed, World Class were able to market the facility using detailed, visually striking 3D images, generating interest and awareness among potential customers.

The entire facility is fitted with flooring from our partner, Rephouse. The floor was designed with track and field in mind, with the layout smartly integrating the different zones.”

To encourage users to attempt varied forms of training and new techniques, the gym is divided into zones, including the CrossFit Zone, Functional Training Zone, Olympic Lifting Zone and Track and Field Zone. The zones are logically interconnected in an open, spacious environment.
