Anton Lander's Home Gym

When professional hockey player Anton Lander was looking to complement his Sundsvall, Sweden home with a home gym, he turned to Eleiko for a full gym design service, from the idea phase to the final installation. A separate building on the property now houses a 50 square metre home gym that provides Anton and his family with everything they need for both strength and endurance training.

”Eleiko was involved from the very beginning of this project. We live on an island, and were looking for a gym with a eco-feeling that complements the natural beauty of the outdoor area. Eleiko’s facility designers suggested the wooden ribbed look, which gave the space exactly the feeling we were after,” says Anton.

In close collaboration, Anton and Eleiko discussed and planned the training space.

“My initial requirements were based off my weekly training schedule for my career as a hockey player, which includes both cardio and interval training, heavier leg workouts and strength training. Eleiko provided advice on the equipment but also how to make the most of each square metre and create a good flow of movement in the space,” says Anton.

The result is a fully equipped premium gym, featuring Eleiko’s XF80 rigs with a collection of barbells, plates, free weights such as Eleiko’s Evo dumbbells and Training Kettlebells and several cardio machines. One focal point of the home gym is the Stages cycle, offering sweaty cardio workouts with a beautiful ocean view.

“I’m familiar with Eleiko as a company before, and good quality was the main feature I was looking for in my equipment. The design help was also much appreciated to make the most of our space and bring our vision to life. My family and I are very happy with the result. We have versatile training options right outside the front door, and the space is frequently used by our friends as well,” says Anton.
