Eleiko recognized for sustainability and corporate governance

At Halmstad Näringslivsgala on October 28, 2022, Eleiko won awards for both Board of the Year (Årets styrelse) and Environmental Award of the Year (Årets miljöpris). These two awards result from Eleiko's work in sustainability and a focus on securing the company's future and creating sustainable growth.

Halmstad Näringslivsförening annually awards prizes in 13 different categories. Eleiko, the family-owned strength equipment company, was awarded two of these this year.

The Board award aims to showcase good examples of working actively with a board to secure a company's future and create sustainable growth.

Just three years ago, Eleiko initiated the company's first board with external expertise in connection with an impending generational change, which has led to an already healthy business being able to grow further in strength and sustainability worldwide.

The owners are a good example of how companies, through qualitative board work and the appointment of external board expertise, lead to a structure that clarifies the owners' roles and thus creates the conditions for an offensive and sustainable business development to thrive while the strength of family ownership continues to permeate the company's soul and business.

Environmental Award of the Year (Årets miljöpris)

This year's environmental award aims to promote and draw attention to companies characterized by drive and commitment that contribute to a reduced negative or increased positive impact on the environment and climate.

This year's Environmental Award goes to an established Halmstad company that strives to raise the bar continuously. The company has taken a holistic approach to its environmental work by working actively to reduce its climate impact through sustainable design that generates products that last over time. They are also looking for new opportunities in processes, product development and supply chains, as well as in collaborations with companies with a pronounced sustainability mindset.

Through its clear environmental thinking, sustainable practices are promoted and positively impact the circular economy. Improved and cleaner manufacturing processes reduce their environmental impact while maintaining their distinctive properties. In addition, their products play an important role in a stronger world.
